THE CLIENT
Our client is based in Essex and are a Drylining and Plastering contractor with an excellent reputation. This company strives to build quality projects, safely, on time and on budget. They are now in the market for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. My client turns over around £10 million p/a at the moment. Specialising within the commerciall office fit out dry-lining sector.

THE ROLE
• Preparation of quotations based on detailed specifications and design drawings
• Liaising with clients, discussing quotations, providing sound advice and generally assisting them where required
• Assisting existing estimators with work load
• Data input into their CRM system
• Attending internal team meetings where necessary
• Adhering to the companies high standard of performance

THE CANDIDATE
• Well organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic about the pre-construction process
• Practical minded with the ability to communicate with people and produce detailed quotations
• Degree Qualified ideally
• Computer literate with previous experience on Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Possess good Maths and English skills
• A-C GCSE’s/ A-Levels in Maths and English/ Technical qualifications/ Construction qualifications would be ideal
• Driven, adaptable and able to pick things up quickly
• You must live within a commutable distance to South London
