JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager
INDUSTRY: Flooring profiles and trims
LOCATION: South East
SALARY: Circa £40,000 basic plus bonus/commission

THE CLIENT:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of quality flooring profiles and trims. Their profiles are supplied and installed in residential and commercial projects around the world including Palaces, Hotels, Theatres, Retail Stores, Football Stadiums, and many more public buildings.

THE ROLE:
Work with flooring contractors, carpet retailers, main contractors, architects and specifiers to ensure that business is won at specification stage or products are offered as “equally approved” by Flooring Contractors/ Main Contractors.
Develop business in new growth areas with stone, ceramic and joinery companies.

• Gain business by breaking specification
• Growth of existing sales.
• Development of sales opportunities via projects.
• Visit and develop project opportunities with architects and specifiers.
• Build a close working relationship with internal flooring sales contacts and work as a team to develop sales into the Flooring/Construction Industry

ESSTENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
• You will need to be able to demonstrate persuasive, influential and negotiation skills.
• You will possess good computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good interpersonal skills and be able to work to procedures that may deal with facts, standards and quality

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
• Having some selling experience into the flooring industry is ideal but not essential.
• Ideally you will be confident, enthusiastic, well organised and a self-motivated person who is able to generate new business by developing new relationships
• You will enjoy a challenging environment, working to achieve set goals, ensuring results are achieved and targets met.
• You will be able to work to direction and seek authority where required
